Exchange rates

An exchange rate can be specified when a currency is set to a different currency than the base currency of the bookkeeping.

For instance, the base currency of the King Booking Agency bookkeeping is EUR.
When the currency for a booking is set to NOK, the exchange rate defaults to the exchange rate of that day. (0.0979)

You can manually override the exchange rate in the edit mode, in case you want to use a different exchange rate for that booking.

Why exchange rates?

The totals & statistics display financial information in the base currency of the bookkeeping that you select. If you use different currencies in different bookings within the same bookkeeping, the exchange rates will be used to calculate the bookings where a foreign currency is selected back to the base currency.

Shows created before July 2021

As part of the July 2021 update, we have implemented a feature that allows users to specify an exchange rate with each show. All of the shows in the system that have a foreign currency were updated with the exchange rate of July 2021. Please note that this exchange rate can deviate from the actual historic exchange rate.
