How we started
Hey, Bartho and Martijn here. Two high school friends. Our journey began when we were experimenting with music-making on a Commodore Amiga computer, programming note by note.
In good Dutch tradition, many high school kids take on summer holiday jobs. Over a few summers of hard work, we turned Martijn’s attic bedroom into a studio with synths and a mixer. After many hours of making music after school, terrorizing our neighbors with loud sounds and persistently sending our mixtapes out paid off. We released 20 EPs with a record company, had tons of fun, and learned the ins and outs of the music industry along the way.

Our growth journey
After marketing and engineering studies, our musical ventures evolved into a business partnership. We saw a gap in the market for comprehensive software for artist booking agencies. The agents we met used paper planners, spreadsheets, and painstakingly duplicated artist contracts made in Word.
Over the years, we’ve listened to hundreds of different agencies, always keeping track of their pain points and feature requests. This deep insight equipped us to build an extensive suite of features useful for different types of agencies.
SystemOne was built from the ground up based on three principles: customer first, quality engineering, and no-surprise reliability.
